UGV Rover 4WD AI Robot for Raspberry Pi 5

The Waveshare UGV Rover is an advanced 6-wheel robotic platform designed for AI-powered applications using the Raspberry Pi 5. With its dual-controller architecture, the platform separates processing duties: the Raspberry Pi 5 handles AI tasks like image recognition and decision-making, while an onboard ESP32 takes care of real-time motor control and sensor management. This makes it an ideal solution for autonomous navigation, computer vision, and robotics development.

This version includes a pre-installed 2-DOF pan-tilt camera module with a wide-angle lens, allowing the robot to visually track and interact with its environment. The rugged all-metal frame, 4-wheel drive (6-wheel chassis), and high-torque gear motors provide strong off-road capability. A built-in web interface enables easy remote control from any device—no extra software required.

The modular design supports future expansion via GPIO, USB, and dedicated ports for sensors and communication modules. It is also compatible with ROS2 Humble and Python-based AI development.
