Payment & Shipping Information
How do you order from us?
You can do this in 5 steps:
- Step 1: Shopping cart
Place your item(s) in your shopping cart and proceed to the checkout.
- Step 2: Address information
Enter your address information (if you are already logged in, skip this step).
- Step 3: Shipping method
Choose what suits you best: shipping or pickup. At the shipping methods you choose one of our shipping methods such as PostNL or UPS.
Do you prefer to pick up your order? Then choose to pick up in The Hague.
- Step 4: Payment method
Choose a way to pay. We offer several payment options, further down this page you can find more information.
Do you have a voucher or discount code? Then enter the code in the field "Coupon / Voucher" and click Submit.
- Step 5: Confirm your order
Click the "Buy" button to confirm your order. You will be redirected to our payment provider to pay for the order.
We always try to process orders as quickly as possible. In exceptional cases it may not be possible to process an order immediately. In that case a staff member will contact you.
You will receive at least three email messages from us regarding your order:
- After placing the order you will receive an order confirmation. We recommend that you check the information in this confirmation carefully and contact us immediately (by phone) if something is not right.
- When your order is shipped or ready to be picked up you will receive an email with the appropriate information. If you have chosen a traceable shipping method, this e-mail will also contain your tracking code.
- You will receive the invoice in PDF format at the end of the afternoon on the day of shipment.
You can place your order through the webshop and pick it up at our collection desk in The Hague. For our address and opening hours see our contact page.
When your order is ready you will receive a pickup confirmation from us by e-mail. We kindly ask you to wait until you have received this confirmation.
The following payment methods are accepted in our store:
Intra-Community deliveries / reverse charge of VAT
Are you ordering on behalf of an organization outside the Netherlands and do you have a valid VAT number? Then you do not have to pay Dutch VAT. Fill in your VAT number during checkout. This will be checked for validity after which the shop will reverse the VAT.
Import duties & customs
Items shipped within the EU are shipped on a DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) basis, meaning that all relevant import taxes and duties are included in the final purchase price.
Non-EU countries may be subject to VAT and customs duties once the package arrives at its destination. You are responsible for the payment of such import duties and taxes.
During the checkout process you can enter a discount code if you have one. Discount codes are not valid in combination with other offers. The discount will in that case not be calculated on items for which a discount already applies.
Shipping and delivery
Orders placed on weekdays before 17:00 hours will be shipped the same day when all items ordered are in stock. We ship from our own warehouse in the Netherlands.
It is possible to order items that are not in stock. Do you order items which are not (sufficiently) in stock? Then we will process your order only when the entire order is in stock. If the expected lead time cannot be met, we will contact you.
For the shipment of orders we use PostNL and UPS. When placing your order you can select the desired shipping method or choose to pick up your order.
When your order is shipped you will receive a shipping confirmation email. Within the Netherlands and Belgium shipments are generally delivered the next day!
Postal service (no tracking)
For many items we offer the option to send it by letter mail. We use durable, recyclable, padded envelopes. This is an inexpensive way to have your order shipped and you don't have to stay home. Packages of items may get slightly wrinkled, however. Additionally, letter mail shipments are NOT trackable.
PostNL Parcel (with tracking)
Shipping via PostNL Parcel is the standard shipping method for the Netherlands and Belgium. If you are not at home at delivery the courier will try to deliver your order at the neighbors. If that also fails, your order will be delivered to the nearest PostNL point. You will be digitally informed about this nowadays, you will not receive a not at home notice anymore. PostNL also delivers to private addresses in the Netherlands and Belgium on Saturdays.
UPS (with tracking)
Parcels sent by UPS are always insured and must always be signed for receipt. UPS will make 3 delivery attempts. After the first attempt you can choose a different delivery time or even a different delivery address. UPS delivers on business days only.
Available shipping methods and the corresponding shipping costs are automatically calculated based on the weight of your order during checkout. On the shopping cart page you can also calculate the shipping costs. The costs mentioned below are the costs per shipping method for shipping within the Netherlands
- Briefpost: from € 2,95
- PostNL: €6,95
- UPS: from €11,95
In our system orders are assigned a certain status depending on where in the process the order is. The statuses are explained in the table below.
|Order Received||We have received the order, but have not yet received payment.|
|Payment Received||The payment of the order has been received by us. We will start processing the order as soon as possible.|
|Shipped||Your order has been processed in our warehouse and transferred to the carrier.|
From this status no more changes can be made to an order.
|Ready at collection desk||Your order is ready to be collected|
|Exception||There is a problem with the order and an action is required. An example is an incorrect delivery address that needs to be corrected.|
