Description

The theremin is the first analog synthesizer, this Junior Theremin is a smaller version of the classical musical instrument. The instrument is played by moving your hand closer or further from the antenna, changing the pitch of the note played. The instrument can produce single notes and steplessly change the pitch of a note.

How do you use the theremin?

The Junior Theremin is a version of the classical electronic musical instrument, where the pitch is controlled by hand movements without touching the instrument itself. You can choose between two modes - continuous and discrete. When you connect the battery for the first time, the Junior Theremin is in continuous mode. By pressing both push buttons at the same time, you switch between continuous and discrete mode. Discrete mode, as the name suggests, plays individual or discrete notes rather than a continuously variable tone. There are eight tones in one octave. In discrete mode, the two pushbuttons change the octave of the tones. The left push button (marked -) lowers the octave, and the right push button (marked +) raises the octave. To raise or lower the octave, the push buttons must be held down. In continuous mode, the push buttons have no effect.
