Description

Hall effect sensor is acknowledged as the world's top 3 sensor products that are widely used in industry, automobile industry, computers, mobile phones, and emerging consumer electronics. They are also a popular sensor choice for electronics designers because of their non-contact, wear-free operation, low maintenance, and immunity to vibration, dust, and water. Have you ever wondered why the phone screen automatically lights up or turns off when you flip open or close your cover? It is because the magnet on the cover causes a physical output of a change in the magnetic field across the crystal and the hall sensor present inside your phone senses it!

The Hall sensor is based on the Hall Effect, which is the production of a voltage difference across an electrical conductor, transverse to an electric current in the conductor and a magnetic field perpendicular to the current. It is based on the A1101 Hall-effect magnetic switch that can work sustainably. The output of these devices switches low (turns on) when a magnetic field (south polarity) perpendicular to the Hall sensor exceeds the operate point threshold BOP, and it switches high (turn off) when the magnetic field disappears. The twig can be used to measure RPM.

Hall sensors are capable of measuring a wide range of magnetic fields and are sensitive to both the magnitude and orientation of the field. When used as electronic switches, they are less prone to mechanical failure, since there is no wear on physical parts. They can also be operated at higher frequencies than mechanical switches.

Features

  • High stability: based on the A1101 Hall-effect magnetic switch that can work sustainably
  • Long life cycle: non-contact operation causes no wear or friction on physical parts and it's free from the changes in environmental conditions compared to a capacitive sensor
  • Support industrial standards: a wide working temperature at -40 ℃ ~ 85℃, the range of supply voltage is 3.8 ~ 24V, and it can measure a large current of 4.1 ~ 24mA

Application Ideas

  • RPM meter.
  • Simple dc motor.
